Three former KU basketball players have made their way onto NBA Summer League rosters, which several teams released on Thursday.
Dedric Lawson, who https://www.kansasjayhawksshop.com/sam-cunliffe-jersey-c-3.html was previously reported to be joining the Warriors, is now officially on the roster and will play for Golden State wearing No. 18. Thomas Robinson will be with the San Antonio Spurs and wearing No. 41. Malik Newman will be playing for the Cleveland Cavaliers and back in No. 14.
Lagerald Vick is also reportedly playing for the Houston Rockets.

MALIK NEWMAN — CLEVELAND CAVALIERS
Newman is remembered prominently for his time at KU mostly due to the way he ended his lone playing season. Newman, who had an up and down redshirt sophomore year at KU, averaged 22.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.6 steals per game over his final eight contests. He scored 32 points and added seven rebounds, two assists and three steals in KU s Elite Eight victory over Duke. Newman had 16 performances of 15 or more points while with KU.
Out of high school, Newman, a five star and top 10 prospect, originally committed to Mississippi State. He transferred to KU after playing out his first season in the SEC. Newman averaged 14.2 points and 5.0 rebounds per game in his lone season at KU. He averaged 11.3 points and 2.8 rebounds per game at Mississippi State. He went undrafted following his standout postseason run with the Jayhawks.
THOMAS ROBINSON — SAN ANTONIO SPURS
The star of KU basketball s 2011 12 Final Four team, Robinson averaged 17.7 points and 11.9 rebounds per game as a junior at KU. He also averaged 1.7 assists per contest, shooting 50.5 percent on 2 point shots and even making seven 3 pointers. Robinson was a candidate for National Player of the Year and helped the Jayhawks reach the national championship game, though an Anthony Davis led Kentucky squad ended up winning it all.
Robinson was then drafted by the Sacramento Kings with the fifth pick in the 2013 NBA Draft. He averaged 4.8 points and 4.7 rebounds per game in 51 contests 15.9 minutes per game with the team that drafted him before being traded to Houston, where he averaged 4.5 points and 4.1 rebounds per game the rest of the year. In his lone season with the Jayhawks, Lawson averaged 19.4 points Tucker Vang Jersey, 10.3 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game. He posted 22 double doubles and scored 20 or more points in half of the Jayhawks 36 games.
Lawson had two 30 point performances on the season, including one on the road against Arizona State. He made his NCAA tournament debut with the Jayhawks he did not make the tournament while with Memphis and averaged 25 points and 10.5 rebounds in two tournament contests. Lawson also went undrafted following his redshirt junior season at KU.
