Brown, 21, is widely compared to Eagles receiver DeSean Jackson, because of his speed and his 5-10, 170-pound frame. Brown said he briefly met Jackson once at a football camp, when Brown was a teenager. “I feel like we have some similarities, our stride is similar … He just makes plays, and I make plays. I can see the comparison,” Brown said.Hollywood Brown Is Racing Into the Heart of the NFL’s Offensive Revolution - The RingerThat last part is what Brown says sets him apart. More than his size or speed Black Jake Elliott Jerseys , he wants to be defined as a voracious student of the position. One of his interviews last Saturday was with the Eagles, which came as a thrill for a kid who grew up a fan despite living in Florida. To Brown, football didn’t get more exciting than Michael Vick going deep to DeSean Jackson. Brown sees Jackson as the best comparison for him as a prospect, but far from the only one. Every week that Brown was at Oklahoma he asked the staff to pull together game tapes on three receivers. He analyzed how DeAndre Hopkins uses his hands and controls his body position along the sideline; how Stefon Diggs drops his hips on routes to create sharper angles; even how Peter Warrick created yards after the catch at Florida State in the late 1990s. “All those guys played a role in who I am,” Brown says. “You’d come into my room, since I was a kid, and I was studying.”Four players the Eagles could trade during the 2019 NFL Draft - BGNIt seems like there’s a pretty decent chance Agholor gets dealt within the next several days. The Eagles could view him expendable given the wide receiver talent available in this year’s draft. They’ve clearly been doing their homework at that spot, especially when it comes to guys who can play in the slot. Remember, Agholor was not selected by Howie Roseman. He was drafted when Chip Kelly was in charge of player personnel back in 2015. Save for Agholor, the rest of that draft class is already gone. Agholor might be the next and final player from that group on his way out.BGN Draft Special #4: Evaluating Wide Receivers w/Brad Kelly - BGN RadioMichael Kist is joined by Brad Kelly of The Draft Network to talk WR evaluation and discuss his 2019 NFL Draft rankings! How high is potential Eagles’ target Marquise Brown on his list? Why is DK Metcalf WR1? All that and more! Presented by SB Nation and Bleeding Green Nation.First-round 2019 mock draft: NFL Nation projects picks 1-32 - ESPN25. Philadelphia Eagles - Marquise Brown, WR, Oklahoma: The Eagles set out each year to find a “home-run difference-maker” in the draft, as executive VP of football operations Howie Roseman described it, and Brown has the potential to be just that. A naturally gifted deep-ball tracker with blazing speed, he can learn from one of the best big-play receivers in the game in DeSean Jackson before taking over for the 32-year-old vet down the road. Brown is on the smaller side at 5-foot-9 and 166 pounds and is coming off a foot injury, but he has the deep-threat ability that the Eagles covet.Mailbag: Should the Eagles trade for a linebacker, and if so Jake Elliott Jerseys 2019 , who? - PhillyVoiceDarron Lee is still only 24, and he is in the final year of his deal. He would only cost $1,843,860 in cap space in 2019 for any team trading for him. Because he was a first round pick in 2016, he is eligible for his team to exercise his fifth-year option in 2020, which would cost $9,897,120, though the deadline to do so is May 2. So why would the Jets trade him? Well, they just signed C.J. Mosley in free agency to a five-year, $85 million deal. In 2020, Mosley will cost $17.5 million against the cap. It would be extraordinarily difficult for the Jets to keep Lee on their books at a hair under $10 million, so if they can get something in return for him now, they should absolutely do so, especially considering they’re not realistically going to be contenders in 2019.Sheil Kapadia’s 7-round Eagles mock draft - The AthleticRound 2, No. 41 overall — Tytus Howard, OT Black Chris Maragos Jerseys , Alabama State * The Eagles trade their first-round pick (No. 25) to the Denver Broncos in exchange for a second-round pick (No. 41) and a third-round pick (N0. 71). I mocked the first 24 picks and then looked at the options still available to the Eagles. Among the options were Oklahoma wide receiver Marquise Brown, Boston College offensive lineman Chris Lindstrom and Florida defensive back Chauncey Gardner-Johnson. But I think the Eagles would like to move back here, and I think they can find a partner in the Broncos. [...] At No. 41, the Eagles could go in a number of different directions: wide receiver, defensive lineman, running back. But if they’re going to pay Carson Wentz around $30 or $35 million per year in the near future, it makes sense to continue to invest in bodies to protect him. Howard (6-foot-5, 322 pounds) has played both left and right tackle. Under Jeff Stoutland’s tutelage, maybe he can even swing inside if necessary. With Jason Peters likely entering his final year, Jason Kelce’s future beyond 2019 undecided and Brandon Brooks coming back from an Achilles injury, the Eagles need young talent up front. Howard helps give them that. He may not fill an immediate need, but offensive line depth is a factor every year, and Howard can eventually elevate to a starting role.Taking a look at the roster heading into the NFL Draft - PE.comBringing Ronald Darby back with a new contract makes this group one of the most anticipated battles of the spring and summer. Darby still has to come all the way back from a knee injury, as Jalen Mills does as he returns from a 2018 foot injury, so there are moving parts here that must be resolved. But … the Eagles sure are going to see some competition in Training Camp. Second-year man Avonte Maddox is going to be hard to keep off the field in his second season, Rasul Douglas looks to build off a strong second year, Sidney Jones is fully healthy and ready to compete in his third season Chris Maragos Jerseys 2019 , and Cre’Von LeBlanc showed up and made a difference as a nickel cornerback last season. Young veterans Chandon Sullivan and Josh Hawkins are also pushing and very much in the mix as the Eagles ultimately look to build depth here after suffering so many injuries in 2018.2019 NFL Draft fixes for all 32 NFL teams - PFFThe Eagles’ defensive line is arguably one of the league’s best with Fletcher Cox and Brandon Graham manning the ship, but behind them, question marks pop up all over. The loss of Jordan Hicks hurts their linebacking corps, as he was well above average in coverage and after Hicks, Nigel Bradham was the team’s highest-graded linebacker at 67.5. Even with the return of Bradham and Ronald Darby at cornerback, every Philadelphia fan saw what happened a season ago when injuries depleted an already-thin unit at cornerback. Coverage is the most essential facet in the NFL for a defense and getting players who can contribute in key passing downs at both linebacker and cornerback should be priority No. 1 for the Eagles. Draft target: Devin Bush, LB, Michigan. Bush can be a weapon as a blitzer in the right scheme. He had top-five pass-rushing grades among off-ball linebackers each of the past two seasons and has racked up 47 pressures, including 13 sacks, over that span. Bush’s 4.43 speed shows up on the field, and he’d make an impact in coverage for a team that badly needs it.The NFL Draft Information Trade: How Teams Gather Nuggets of Knowledge to Shape Draft Decisions - Sports IllustratedIn the days, weeks and months leading up to the NFL draft, teams’ personnel departments are angling for as much information as possible about the prospects and what they need to do to get those prospects, using every avenue—including the media—to gain that intelligence.NFL Draft Rumors Roundup: Redskins have talked to Jets about #3 pick; Dwayne Haskins is their draft target - Hogs HavenThe draft rumors are heating up and they’re coming from all directions. Philadelphia Eagles: Dexter Lawrence, DT, Clemson. In a division that has Ezekiel Elliott and Saquon Barkley, the Eagles could use a player next to Fletcher Cox. Earlier on Monday Black Corey Graham Jerseys , the Falcons officially announced the signing of defensive end Steven Means. Now it’s veteran linebacker Corey Nelson who will reportedly be joining Atlanta’s ranks.I guess if you can’t beat the Eagles, the move is to sign their former players?I mean, you would think it would’ve been more useful for the Falcons to sign these players BEFORE they played in Philadelphia (and lost) last Thursday. Too late for them now.Another reason why Means and Nelson didn’t get signed until now is because they’re both vested veterans. As such, their salaries for the 2018 season would have been fully guaranteed if they were on the Week 1 roster. Now that’s not the case.Getting back to Nelson, the 26-year-old was a free agent flop for the Eagles. When Philadelphia signed him to a deal worth $600,000 guaranteed on the first day of the new league year, it seemed like he was the favorite to be the Eagles’ new weakside linebacker. Nelson failed to win the job, though, by essentially being invisible in the offseason.Nelson was so invisible, in fact, that the photo selection databases which are available to us don’t even have a picture of him in an Eagles uniform. Hence the Broncos picture above this article. The Eagles released Nelson a week ahead of final roster cuts prior to their fourth and final preseason game. Here’s The Falcoholic’s take on the Nelson signing:
