Latest NewsLos Angeles Chargers NewsChargers OffseasonNotes from Day 2 of Chargers training campNew,36commentsPDTThe second day of training has come to an end and of course there are a number of things to take note of just two days into camp. Daniel Popper, the new hire for the Chargers’ beat at The Athletic, was our main source for training camp news today with a little sprinkle of ESPN’s Eric Williams. It was another solid, injury-free practice for the Chargers with young guys continuing to make plays and veterans continuing to show why they’re the starters. Here’s all the tidbits from today’s second practice. This was a surprise, and a slight scare, to read at the start of practice. In his post-practice presser http://www.thechargerslockerroom.com/authentic-mike-pouncey-jersey , Anthony Lynn stated this was a day off for White and that he will be participating in tomorrow’s practice. However, they will be monitoring him.I can never get enough of the Forrest Lamp news. For the second-straight practice, Lamp saw reps with the first team at left guard while Dan Feeney saw more reps at center. There is nothing wrong with Mike Pouncey, but Lynn continues to push the versatility across his interior linemen.Jerry Tillery is still being brought along slowly. He once again participated in team drills but did not see time during 11v11. He’s looked good, showing strength and agility. In general, it’s great seeing someone of his stature in that interior defender group.A running back coach at heart, Lynn spent some extra time with the running backs today. Always a good thing to see. This is obviously good news for Mike Davis fans. It’s note-worthy that Davis was able to stay with Travis Benjamin on a deep route but it’s also not a good thing that Rivers is still deciding to throw it deep to Benjamin when, chances are Womens Isaac Rochell Jersey , that ball will be picked off.Not exactly what we want to see this early.Andre Patton is one of the more experienced “young guys” on this team, especially after playing some legitimate football from February to April while with the Alliance of American Football.Tyrod Taylor is still the best back-up quarterback the Chargers have ever had behind Philip Rivers and his presence should make fans extremely comfortable were something to ever happen to Rivers. Thomas Davis joins Brandon Mebane as the only other member of this Chargers defense to play in a Super Bowl. Hopefully the little details and the way Davis handles his business can rub off on the rest of that side of the ball. I like the quote, as well. It shows that Davis has the right mindset at this point in time.Join us back here tomorrow as we recap day three of training camp! Also, make sure you’re following me on twitter @zonetracks. I’ll have my own commentary about the practices so you won’t want to miss that. This is a great time of year to be thankful for what we have, where we have been, and what the future holds. Although the Chargers have lost their way a bit in recent years, the month of December still holds such incredible promise! This advent calendar is an attempt to hearken back to these days of December joy. Each day will bring a new advent from the Bolts’ history that makes it wonderful to be a Chargers fan.Dec. 05: Philip Rivers owns EVERY Franchise Career Passing Record...except one“It was the 19th night before Christmas, and all through the record books, not a player was different, except for one ‘Dan Fouts’.”Philip Rivers has solidly cemented himself as the best passer in Chargers history. He owns every single career passing record in Chargers team history Joey Bosa Jersey , with one key exception. Before we get to that, lets highlight the records he does have:Franchise Passing RecordsStatisticTeam Record HolderTotalSecond PlaceTotalStatisticTeam Record HolderTotalSecond PlaceTotalAs you can see, El’ Capitan owns every franchise career passer record you would actually WANT to own if you are the best passer in franchise history. Actually, despite having 2232 more pass attempts than John Hadl, Rivers is 39 interceptions behind Hadl to be 3rd in team history for interceptions. In fact, Rivers has the lowest interception % of any passer in Chargers history that has attempted more than 60 passes for the team, and he’s attempted 6872. We have all been extremely luck to have been able to witness Rivers’ career, and even more lucky that his career has been in a Chargers uniform. Philip doesn’t have any rings (yet) but he is far and away the best passer in Chargers history Womens Austin Ekeler Jersey , and every game continues to climb the rankings of best passers in League history. Meanwhile, Dan Fouts is the best Charger in history at throwing interceptions. And based on his game commentary on TV, it’s not surprising he owns the record for messing up at his job most often during his career. (Sorry, not sorry)
