Michael Fassbender Begins Filming 'Slow West' in New Zealand
Irish cinematographer and IADT graduate Robbie Ryan is also shooting the film Wholesale Cigarettes Newport, whose recent credits include Steph Frears' 'Philomena' and 'The Last Days on Mars' - Irish director Ruairí Robinson's sci-fi horror which featured in the Director's Fortnight at the Cannes Film Festival this year.
According to Screen Daily who broke the story, 'Slow West' follows a 17-year-old -boy (Kodi Smit-McPhee) on a journey across America in search of the woman he loves, while accompanied by Fassbender's character Silas, a mysterious traveller.
